Welcome to La Marzocco’s Accademia del Caffè Espresso

The Accademia del Caffè Espresso opened its doors to the international coffee press,  yesterday, in one of Tuscany’s most treasured locations: Fiesole (Pian di San Bartolo), Florence in Italy.

This is the first of a series of events designed to introduce the project to distinct local and foreign target groups. And we are happy to be one of the very first media as well as the only one from Asia to participate in the important event.

The Accademia del Caffè stems from La Marzocco’s iconic industrial building, which was once home to the company’s factory from 1959 to 2009; the so-called “Officina” or Workshop, was managed by the company’s founding fathers, Giuseppe and Bruno Bambi, and then by Piero, alongside a small group of brilliant craftsmen.

For the very first Preview, we were guided through an interactive tour to experience:

  • The presentation of the Accademia Del Caffè Espresso project
  • A visit around the facility, an architectural icon preserved today by the Belle Arti
  • The vernissage of the first temporary exhibit, “Genius Loci”
  • Lunch & networking on the open view terrace
  • Meet and greet with the Accademia team

Please check our instagram page (www.instagram.com/coffeeteaimag) for an exclusive preview of the Accademia, which will be officially open to the public by appointment in March, 2020.
