US luxury fashion brand Ralph Lauren has opened its first Ralph’s Coffee store in France.

Located at its flagship retail outlet on Boulevard Saint-Germain, the Paris store is Ralph’s Coffee’s fourth in Europe after London, Munich and Roermond in the Netherlands.

Ralph Lauren previously launched a temporary pop-up Ralph’s Coffee store at its Boulevard Saint-Germain outlet in 2019 to coincide with Paris Fashion Week. It also operates Ralph’s Restaurant at the site.

Despite the prevalence of food-focused operators across the country, Ralph’s Coffee joins a small but growing number of specialty café brands in the French branded coffee shop market, including Coutume CaféCafé KitsuneEL&N and Copenhagen Coffee Lab. Japan’s % Arabica will also open several stores in Paris in 2024 as part of its plan to re-enter the French market.

The first Ralph’s Coffee concept was opened in August 2014 on the second floor of Ralph Lauren’s Polo store in New York. The fashion brand now operates 27 cafés across 11 markets, including eight in the US, six in Japan and three in China.

The brand is set to open its first outlet in the UAE in January 2024 at its Polo store in the Mall of the Emirates shopping centre. Al Khobar-based restaurant group Al Moajil Hospitality announced a franchise partnership with Ralph Lauren International in June 2023 to launch Ralph’s Coffee in Saudi Arabia and the UAE this year.
